The Atelier

No machine reproduces this

Every Fio e Areia piece is built knot by knot, in the hands of a Brazilian artisan. There is no production line, no industrial mould, no perfect repetition — and that is precisely what makes the piece yours.

The process

01

Drawing

The piece begins on paper, by hand. Proportion, drape and stitch are defined before a single thread is cut.

02

Material selection

Natural yarns, freshwater pearls, crystals, seeds and shells from the region. Each batch is chosen piece by piece — nothing is bought at scale.

03

Hand crochet

One artisan, one piece. From the first to the last knot, with no division of steps — that is how the tension of the stitch stays constant.

04

Embroidery and application

Crystals, pearls and fringes applied one by one, with a needle. On ST★RLIGHT pieces this stage alone can take weeks.

05

Fitting and finishing

The piece is worn, adjusted, hand-washed and blocked. Then it is numbered, recorded and packed at the atelier.

Production time

Time is not delay. It is the maison's main raw material.

BRISA
20 to 40 hours of handwork
ST★RLIGHT

TIME AS LUXURY

We live in a world where everything must be immediate. Fio e Areia chose a different path.

Each creation is developed by hand, respecting the time every detail demands. We do not accelerate processes to produce more, because we believe true exclusivity is born from dedication.

That is why our productions are naturally limited. Each piece receives individual attention, from the choice of materials to the final finish.

More than clothing, we create objects that stand the test of time and carry the identity of those who make them and those who choose them.
